PAPIER MÂCHÉ AND STORYTELLING
Maral Mavizi holds workshops linked to her artistic practice. They are designed according to the material and concept she is currently working with.
At the moment, she is working on a project based in the world of fairy tales. In her work, writing or storytelling is central, on which she develops her stories in sculptural forms. She works with these sculptural forms in papier mâché or paper clay.
Under kursen
Deltagarna får chansen att arbeta med papper som skulpturalt medium. I detta fall, papperslera. De kommer få testa på att göra egen papperslera med material som är lättillgängliga och billiga och även skapa ett eget verk med materialet.
Participants get the chance to work with paper as a sculptural medium. In this case, paper clay. They will make their own paper clay with materials that are easily available and cheap and also create their own art work with the material.

Upplägg
Då materialet är tidskrävande och behöver torka i ca 12-24 timmar för varje lager är kursen upplagd på tre till fyra tillfällen. Vid överenskommelse erbjuds förutom kurser som pågår vid tre olika tillfällen (eller mer) även enstaka kurser i material-lära om man vill prova på att arbeta med papier mâché.
Structure
As the material is time-consuming and needs to dry for 12-24 hours for each layer, the workshop is organized on three to four occasions. By agreement, in addition to courses that run on three different occasions (or more) individual workshops on material learning are also offered if you want to try out working with papier mâché or papier mâché-clay.
