The Carpet

The carpet's pattern carries a strong history with it. When I moved away from home, the carpet was the most valuable thing I took with me, but for me to do so, I had to learn to take care of it and wash it properly. In this video I have worked with my mother who taught me to wash it right and wrote the poem I read.

In combination with our ideas, the carpet becomes a symbol of the woman's struggle but also Iran's history and the idea of ​​Orientalism.
